In the early 1950's, Nebraska born designer and artist, Don Shoemaker created a furniture and décor company called Señal. The Mexico based company focused on using the local craftsmen and exotic materials to create their unique pieces.
Don and his wife Barbara visited Mexico for their honeymoon and soon made the decision to relocate there permanently. Don began painting and hobby gardening. It was through this hobby that Shoemaker discovered Cocobolo, a Mexican rosewood that would define many of his future works.
We've been lucky to carry a variety of Don Shoemaker's pieces over the years and will continue to do so as we are enamored with his creative and beautiful eye for design.
