Hand crafted candlestick and match holder set in spalted birch and then painted by local Los Angeles artist Evan Segota. The candle holder features three spheres and an inset brass cup while the match holder offers a match strike near the bottom.
Evan Segota is a furniture / product / object designer and artist with a BS in industrial design, and a background in woodworking and ceramics. Each piece is an exploration between sculptural form and functional object, using common and recycled materials as a starting point, evolving through experimentation into unorthodox uses of the components.
