A modernist freestanding ashtray/catch-all designed by Mel Bogart for Felmore, USA, c.1950s. It features an enameled metal dish that wraps around an iron stem, atop a four-star base, and is topped off with a bright orange ball, a staple in modern design. This design element is also present in his iconic fireplace tool set which was selected by MoMA for their "Good Design" program of 1946-1955. Bogart's pieces were specified for use in multiple Case Study Houses by Craig Ellwood , Joseph Eichler, and Richard Neutra.
The piece has a 14" diameter and a height of 25"
