In the early 1970's Michael left his job and sold his home in Pennsylvania to caravan across the country with this wife. After some time they settled in Oregon where Michael found a love of the forest. Over the next several years, Michael enjoyed the outdoors and other farm and forest work. He found a fascination with maple burls and started crafting and creating unique burl boxes.
