Scandinavian rug by Rakel Callander, c.1950s, Sweden. Like many Swedish kilim rugs, this piece consists of angular shapes and muted colors. With a combination of warm and cool earth-tones, the flatweave rug features a geometric pattern of octagons and squares carefully weft in a uniform pattern.
