Checcacci is an Italian-born artist who works out of Rio de Janeiro. Her work mainly focuses on the human figure and body parts and she uses paintings or cast bronze sculptures as her medium. Since the start of her artistic career in the 1960s she has had ninety solo exhibitions and fifty collective exhibitions worldwide.
